Is it Time to Play? was founded in 2020 by Emma, a qualified teacher, with extensive experience in EYFS. It’s main aim was (and still is!) to be a planning inspiration partner by supporting Early Years Educators and parents with play based learning.
As a parent of two daughters Emma understood the pressure parents were under during the school closures of 2020, so she began supporting them using her teaching skills. It became quickly apparent that her fellow Early Years Educators were also in need of support and resources that met their unique needs!
Is It Time To Play? was born!
During her own classroom career, Emma has worked across the Early Years Sector as a Nursery Nurse, Preschool Manager, Teaching Assistant and then latterly as a Nursery, Reception and Year One Class Teacher.
“My mission is to support teachers and parents to make play and learning fit. I am here to be your planning inspiration partner, providing resources and support that save you time. I understand the pressures of being a teacher juggling my own family with planning and preparation for the classroom and I am on a one woman mission to support teachers to reclaim their work:life balance.
I also understand Mum guilt and the pressures we feel at home to support our children’s learning and development. I know that parents often feel lost at what to expect from their children and how best to support them. My aim is to demystify the world of education and in particular play based learning.
My principal aim at Is it Time to Play? is to provide high quality, play based resources which empower and inspire teachers, help to reduce workload and save precious time.
In short, I am on a mission to make “Play & Learning Fit” for Teachers and the children they teach”
