Making Play and Learning Fit
Purposeful, play-based planning and resources for EYFS and KS1- built on curriculum, to save teacher’s time
Is it Time to Play? is for teachers and schools who believe play is powerful learning, not filler between the “real” lessons. We build curriculum-linked, progression-led planning and resources for EYFS and KS1, so every activity in your provision earns its place.
Our philosophy is simple: Purpose Before Pinterest. Every resource we create starts with what children need to learn and how they learn it best, through meaningful, hands-on, adult-supported play. We want to be your play planning partner: helping you feel confident, save time, and know that what’s in your provision is doing real curricular work.
Created by an experienced and qualified EYFS and Primary Teacher, our resource range supports you through curriculum mapping, planning and assessment across EYFS and Key Stage 1 — with progression that’s visible and consistent from Nursery right through to Year 1 and beyond. Our planning banks and activity ideas are designed to be genuinely usable, not just inspiring: purposeful, easy to set up, and rooted in real classroom practice. Carefully crafted, time saving EYFS and KS1 Resources for Teachers
Time Saving
We know how busy life is, especially with young children in the mix. Because of this, our resources are designed to be purposeful from the outset — no wasted planning, no filler activities, just what genuinely moves learning on.
Curriculum Aligned
Every resource is built from the curriculum outward, not decorated onto it afterwards. All planning, assessment and resources reflect the EYFS Statutory Framework (2021) and National Curriculum for Key Stage One
Play Based
Play is powerful learning, not a break from it. All resources are designed to empower and inspire educators to deliver deep, purposeful, play-based learning with confidence..
